Lamine Yamal was born to:
- Mother: Sheila Ebana, who is originally from Equatorial Guinea. She worked in hospitality after moving to Spain.
- Father: Mounir Nasraoui, who is originally from Larache, Morocco. He worked as a building painter in Spain.
His parents separated when he was around three years old, but both remained actively involved in raising him. Yamal spent time living with both parents while growing up in the Barcelona area, particularly in Granollers and Rocafonda (Mataró). He has often spoken proudly about his Moroccan and Equatorial Guinean heritage.
