Lamine Yamal was born to: Mother: Sheila Ebana , who is originally from Equatorial Guinea . She worked in hospitality after moving to Spain. Father: Mounir Nasraoui , who is originally from Larache, Morocco . He worked as a building painter in Spain. His parents separated when he was around three years old , but both remained actively involved in raising him. Yamal spent time living with both parents while growing up in the Barcelona area, particularly in Granollers and Rocafonda (Mataró) . He has often spoken proudly about his Moroccan and Equatorial Guinean heritage.
